Originally from Vermont, AJ learned at an early age by watching his father cook in the kitchen, that culinary was the path he would take. He attended the New England Culinary Institute and was the youngest graduate they had had at that time. After culinary school, AJ worked at various hotels around the country before settling in Arizona. He initially worked for Troon at their Copper Canyon and Ocotillo golf clubs back in 2008. Before his recent return with Troon, AJ was the Corporate Research & Development Executive Chef at Sunfare, where he created multiple meal plans that catered to various nutritional needs. AJ has lived in the Surprise area for the last 15 years with his wife Sarah and their two children, Andrew and Alice. In his spare time, he enjoys working on cars and hanging out with his family. AJ is excited to be part of the Sterling Grove team and looks forward to bringing his culinary passion and creativity to the West Valley.
