In 1986 after two years in The United States Navy, I began my culinary career literally hand cutting and blanching fresh French fries at a mall fast food restaurant aptly named “The French Fry Factory” in my home state Pennsylvania. After working in Pennsylvania and New York, I relocated to Salt Lake City and began my Chefs Apprenticeship from 1988 to 1991 upon completion I found myself transferred “temporarily” to Arizona which began a line of extraordinary opportunities, including Management in Stadiums and Arenas, Conference Centers and Hotels, Privately owned Fine Dining and Golf Clubs such as Troon North and Troon Golf and Country Club. In addition, on the non-operational side of Food Service I have provided consulting and business development for Sysco Foods of Arizona, Performance Food Group and Sierra Meat and Seafood in Reno Nevada. Last but not least I taught as a CTE/Culinary Instructor in Mesa Arizona. Along the way I have enjoyed being a father to 5 and grandfather to 2. When I am not cooking I enjoy spending time outdoors, painting with acrylics and all genres of music – especially live. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to learn, grow and contribute to Sterling Grove, please if we have not met personally stop by anytime – I would love to make your acquaintance!
