Sidewinder Ridgeback Ocotillo Loop – Phoenix Sonoran Preserve

Meet at the Tennis Courts at 7:30 AM and we will carpool to the trailhead

The hike is in the Northern section of the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve, starting from the Apache Wash Trailhead, 1600 E Sonoran Desert Drive. Great opportunity to see the hot air balloons. We will hike in a counter clockwise loop. From the trailhead, we will take Sidewinder, cut across on Ridgeback and head back to the trailhead via Ocotillo. There is an option make it a bit of a longer hike if we wish.

Rating: Moderate for experienced hikers
Trail type: Rocky and steep in places

Please come prepared with the following:
2-3 liters of water, snacks, hat, sturdy hiking shoes and consider poles is required
