MESQUITE CANYON TRAIL | MAY 1st STARTING AT 6:45 AM

The group voted at the end of the April hike to tackle the Mesquite Canyon Trail. This trail offers great views and more challenging terrain that is best done prior to the summer heat kicks in.
Explorers: Hike from Parking lot 7 up through the switchbacks to first plateau. This point offers fantastic valley views and is a great spot for pictures. The trail offers a good cardio workout and will be under 3 miles roundtrip. Plan to bring 2 liters of water.
Adventurers: The group will start with the Explores and go about 3 miles into the canyons towards the Ford Canyon trail intersection (~6 miles roundtrip). Plan to bring 3 liters of water and snack.
